About The Trust
The Mary Barton Land Trust helps acquire and preserve sensitive
wildlife habitat and other natural areas in Barnstable’s Cotuit
village. Originally formed to purchase and preserve land adjacent
to Eagle Pond, the Trust continues to protect additional lands
and expand the Eagle Pond Sanctuary. The Trust’s mission is
to maintain the land that has been entrusted to the Mary Barton
Land Trust and ensure that Eagle Pond and its surrounds remain
unpolluted and that the general area remain in an open and
natural state for everyone to enjoy. The Trust also encourages
schools, conservation groups, and private individuals to study
and enjoy the Eagle Pond Sanctuary as well as the adjacent
Bell Farm and Almy Cedar Swamp.

Membership Costs
Cash contributions and gifts of securities are welcome
and are deductible for federal income tax purposes.
